উঃ কম্পিউটারের প্রােগ্রামিংকে এক কথায় সফটওয়্যার বলে।

প্রঃ কম্পিউটারের প্রধান কাজ কী?

উঃ কম্পিউটারের প্রধান কাজ হল যাবতীয় তথ্য মেমরি বা স্মৃতিভাণ্ডারে ধরে রাখা। এ ছাড়া দ্রুত গণনা, নির্ভুলভাবে চাহিদামতাে তথ্য সাজানাে ও প্রােগ্রাম অনুসারে কাজ করা, প্রভৃতি বিভিন্ন গণনার কাজ কম্পিউটার খুব দ্রুত সমাধান করে।

প্রঃ সুপার কম্পিউটার কাকে বলে?

উঃ সাধারণ কম্পিউটারের চেয়ে দ্রুতগতিসম্পন্ন কম্পিউটার যা অত্যন্ত ক্ষমতাশালী। মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ‘ক্রে রিসার্চ ইনকরপােরেটেড’ প্রতিষ্ঠানটি এই কম্পিউটার তৈরি করেছে।

প্রঃ ইনটারনেট কী?

উঃ ইনটারনেট আসলে একটি নেটওয়ার্ক। এর সাহায্যে অত্যন্ত দ্রুত যােগাযােগ করা যায়।

প্রঃ ই-মেল কী?

উঃ ই-মেল হল ইলেকট্রনিক মেল। যার সাহায্যে দ্রুত চিঠিপত্র, সংবাদ প্রেরণ করা চলে।

প্রঃ ফ্যাক্স কী ?

উঃ ফ্যাক্সের সাহায্যে অতি দ্রুত কোনাে সংবাদ অপর গ্রাহক প্রান্তে মুদ্রিত করা যায়।

প্রঃ পিটিএস কী ?

উঃ ফটো টাইপ সেটিং। এর সাহায্যে হরফ সাজানাে হয়।

প্রঃ ল্যাপটপ কী ?

উঃ ল্যাপ অর্থাৎ কোলের ওপর বসিয়ে যে কম্পিউটারকে ব্যবহার করা হয় তাকে বলে ল্যাপটপ কম্পিউটার। ব্যক্তিগত কাজে ব্যবহার করার জন্য বহনযোগ্য কম্পিউটার।
